We put on our skis early this year to feature an amazing chalet close to the world class resort Val D’Isere.
Alpine Culture is operated by Ben Farley and Heidi Luomanen, both of whom are passionate about skiing and providing their guests with the best skiing holiday they can get.
Ben, originally from London, and Heidi, from Helsinki, met in Australia before touring the globe together to realise their dreams of owning a ski chalet in the best resort in the world and we were only too happy to respond to their challenge to highlight the experience of statin at one of their chalets, Chalet du Rassel at Sainte Foy, just down the valley from Val and situated between a host of other top resorts.
They wanted to show the great skiing and the quality of the chalet to potential guests but we went a step further and spoke to the guests themselves to get an independent view of their time at the chalet and with the Alpine Culture people who ,unusually, like to ski with the guests most days and help them to get round the mountains and find the best bars and restaurants for lunch.
As well as our usual camera gear, we also packed lightweight video cameras an a Go Pro Hero camera to film action shots on the slopes. The conditions did not let us down, we had blue skies and powder conditions during the filming and also enjoyed the fantastic food prepared by the Alpine Culture chefs…but enough from us, let the video do the talking so Click Here to see the Alpine Culture video page.
