Made in Sheffield Awards…Again

We are proud to announce that we have been appointed as the official video makers for the 2020 Made in Sheffield Awards.

The Awards are held every two years and we produced the video to introduce the 2018 awards, which led the Insider Group, the organisation responsible for staging the Awards, to appoint us again in 2020.

The Made in Sheffield brand gives local companies the opportunity to celebrate their ongoing commitment to world class quality and excellence in manufacturing. More than 250 companies are licensed to use the Made in Sheffield logo.

The awards will offer manufacturers the opportunity to network, make new contacts and gain valuable insight. It is a chance to bring their national and international business contacts to see for themselves what the Sheffield City Region has to offer.

Our video will feature some of the winners from the last event in 2018 and their stories will act as an illustration of what makes manufacturers in the Sheffield City region so successful in a global market when they face stiff competition from other international companies.

This year seven awards will be given on the night, they are:

  • Manufacturing Innovation Award
  • Export Award
  • Apprentice of the Year
  • Manufacturing Apprenticeship / Training Programme
  • Food & Drink Award
  • Manufacturer of the Year (under £25m)
  • Made in Sheffield Award

Multi-Language Videos For Recruitment

Our recruitment videos for the Hall Hunter Partnership, one of the UK’s leading fruit growers who sell to our best know supermarkets, were so successful, they’ve asked for more films in 2020.

The videos are being recorded and edited five different languages, again demonstrating our ability to take on international work on behalf of our clients. We are now undertaking regular work for Hall Hunter following successful contracts in 2020 to create a colourful and dynamic overview video highlighting the work of the company, which employs over 1000 workers in the Surrey area.

The company also strongly supports local communities, including schools where its farms are situated.

We look forward to working with the Hall Hunter Partnership on more projects throughout the year.

Volition RX use our videos in press releases

Our videos are embedded in Volition press releases

Nasdaq-quoted company Volition RX, one of our key clients, has started to use our videos as an integral part of their media releases.

The latest (pictured right) included an interview with Volition CEO, Cameron Reynolds, talking about Volition’s latest acquisition and also covering a series of other recent milestones and a look ahead to their activities in 2020.

The announcement gave details about the closing of the acquisition of the epigenetic reagent company Octamer GmbH (“Octamer”) by its subsidiary Belgian Volition SPRL for approximately $725,000, consisting of cash and shares of restricted common stock of Volition. This strategic acquisition helps secure the supply of one of the key components of Volition’s Nu.Q(TM) tests, the recombinant nucleosome used as the calibrant.

Volition also announced the receipt of additional non-dilutive funding in the form of a $550,000 (Euro 500,000) unsecured loan from Namur Invest to assist with the Octamer acquisition. This takes the total non-dilutive funding provided by the Namur Regional Government and associated agencies to over $7 million to-date.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death and is responsible for 1-in-6 deaths worldwide each year. It is widely accepted that the best way of tackling cancer is for patients to receive an early diagnosis, as this improves their chances of surviving cancer. Volition is developing simple, easy to use blood-based tests to diagnose a range of cancers and other diseases.

VolitionRX announces funding for veterinary project

We helped our client VolitionRX to announce the confirmation of a further $500,000 non-dilutive funding in the form of a loan from the Texas A&M SOFINEX funding agency of the Walloon Region to support the development of its subsidiary Volition Veterinary Diagnostics Development, LLC.

Video footage was fed from the signing ceremony in the USA and we then edited the ‘rushes’ with existing Volition material to produce a video to accompany the press announcement of the deal.

Emotional Scenes In Argentine Video

Warning, there are emotional scenes in our latest video from our latest international assignment in Argentina, South America.

As we arrived in Bueno Aires, the country’s capital, to film the ‘One Egg Per Day’ programme aimed at breaking the cycle of child malnutrition in Argentina, we encountered huge street protests against the handling of the country’s economy.

Hyper-inflation has made the cost of food beyond the means of many poor families so the ‘One Egg Per Day’ programme is seen as an essential part of the attempt to get children a healthy meal each day.

The background to the project dates back around five years when Maria Farina, who works in Argentina with our biggest client, Ceva Animal Health, announced at a company convention that she and her colleagues were launching the programme after seeing an emotional news report featuring two children from a poor family.

Video has become part of the central communication strategy adopted by Volition. Cameron Reynolds commented:

Nik Wood introduces Volition’s third quarter results with CEO, Cameron Reynolds

“I could not be more proud of our dedicated team at Volition, and the ground-breaking work we are doing. I’m happy to say that we have made excellent progress this quarter on our platform development, Nu.QTMCapture, Nu.QTMVet and our colorectal cancer and lung cancer trials, particularly in Asia, and we reported our first revenues from sales of Research Use Only kits and the provision of contract research services.”

He added that Volition are an epigenetics company focused on advancing the science of epigenetics and exploiting these advances in human and animal health. This has been our mission since our founding, and it is coming to fruition with our Nu.QTMplatform at the very heart of epigenetics. We believe the last decade of work and our extensive intellectual property portfolio puts Volition in a strong position to be a significant player in this field by launching multiple products.”

Watch out for further video updates from VolitionRX coming soon.
