Global Launch Success

Our work for our major client, Ceva Santé Animale, saw us supporting the world wide launch of a breakthrough product in the ruminant or dairy cattle arena, Velactis® (see video report here)

Ceva Santé Animale is a global veterinary health company focused on the research, development, production and marketing of pharmaceutical products and vaccines for pets, livestock, swine and poultry and the launch of Velactis®, in Barcelona, was a major event. Good Call Media was in Barcelona to film key elements of the symposium and to interview key opinion leaders, including world class veterinary experts.

These videos were then broadcast through social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and Linked In.

Velactis® is the first and only injectable dry-off facilitator for dairy cattle. A single injection facilitates the   abrupt dry-off procedure by allowing rapid cessation of milk production in the udder, preventing it from becoming painfully engorged and leaking milk, which can increase the risk of new intramammary infections that can lead to mastitis.

More than 350 vets from 40 countries attended the global launch.

Speaking at the launch, Lorraine Sordillo, Professor of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at Michigan State University, said: “We’ve been struggling with this issue for decades; farmers want to maximise the amount of milk they get from cows, but the problem is to get them to stop producing at dry-off. The innovation of dry-off facilitators has been needed since we started milking cows, because we know that the amount of milk being produced a dry-off is directly related to the cow’s ability to optimise milk in the next lactation as well as optimising her immune system.”

We Are Live!

Yes, we are finally fully live as a new company.

We are immensely proud to formally launch Good Call Media for 2016 and would like to thank our fantastic clients for all their support in forming this new entity.

Good Call Media has been formed from two successful media and communications companies, Nik Wood Communications and Fi Films, and, as this website shows, covers a wide range of corporate communications from hosting live events such as debates, conferences and presentations to generating world class videos for companies and organisations.

Our heritage lies in the world’s greatest broadcasting network, the BBC, and our experience in this organisation, which has the highest standards of quality and journalism helps us to generate amazing content for our clients.

Based in the UK, we are a truly international business. In the last year we have created videos and hosted live events in many different countries including the USA, Myanmar, Australia, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, France, Spain and Italy, to name just a few.

This website is the result of months of hard work and has been designed following feedback from many different sources, including our clients of course, and shows a cross section of our work and the different sectors that we cover. Our pedigree stems from the BBC’s Business Unit which is highly regarded and trusted by the global financial markets and the businesses that are part of those networks. Having worked on flagship titles such as the ‘Today’ programme on BBC Radio 4, World Service radio and television, ‘Working Lunch’ on BBC 2 and ‘Business Breakfast’ on BBC 1, which helped to set the business news agenda, we have a wealth of knowledge on film making and communications that can help to tell a business story.

Our many clients cover a fascinating cross section of disciplines. Of course, bearing in mind our background, we work closely with numerous FTSE and Aim listed companies, helping to broadcast their story but also to announce specific facts such as interim and full term financial results. We also help business to business organisations and charities who wish to increase funds from donors. Training is another aspect of our business – media training but also presentation training for people who need to communicate their own business story.

We look forward to serving our existing clients and to meeting new people and companies in 2016.

Happy New Year.

2016 Welfare Awards Social Media Trailer

Welfare Awards ThumbnailWe have built a ‘green screen’ in our UK headquarters to tie in with our 2016 launch.

The first project to see it used was a trailer for the 2016 Animal Welfare Awards which we will be supporting and hosting in Birmingham on the night of April 6, 2016.

Our innovative multi-media approach will see Nik Wood live on stage acting as Master of Ceremonies and the event being filmed for immediate ‘broadcast’ on You Tube and social media outlets. Interviews with the winners and sponsors will be edited on the spot and instantly uploaded to You Tube and offered back to the participants to use freely, without copyright, on their own web sites so they can announce their good news either at the Awards themselves or first thing the following morning, which will give wider coverage to the awards and those who have sponsored the 2016 event.

A longer video report containing all the winners and sponsors will also be published.

The last twelve months have been a record year for our company with expansion of the business and new commissions from new clients. As our update shows, we have finished the year with a ‘bang’ carrying out work in the UK, Asia and Australia on behalf of our clients. Looking forward to 2016, we already have new exciting commissions in place as well as more work for our valued ‘patron’ clients such as the global veterinary health company, Ceva Santé Animale; XP Power and other listed companies who want to educate potential investors in the City of London about their businesses; The Brookwood Partnership which creates healthy and fresh food for thousands of UK school pupils every day; Insider magazine group which stages amazing live events throughout and Variety the Children’s Charity which raises badly needed funds for needy children and young people.

Thanks to all our clients and partners for their support in 2015 – we hope you all have a prosperous and fulfilling 2016!

Koala Care

ceva koalasOur work in the southern hemisphere has continued with one of our most unusual assignments to date – caring for Australia’s koalas.

We can’t say too much about this story at this stage other than to say that one of our leading clients is helping to protect the health of this iconic animal (and no, they are not bears, as any Australian will gladly tell you) after reviving a product that has been out of commission for several years. The assignment involved filming at the Featherdale Wildlife Park on the outskirts of Sydney which does a lot of work on animal breeding and protecting Australia’s endangered species. Don’t worry, there’s no question of koalas dying out but, as you will find out soon, many are faced with a potentially life threatening disease.
