Rapid Reaction Impresses Award Winners And Sponsors
Reaction has continued to flood in from our rapid turnaround of interviews recorded imediately after the ceremony for the 2018 Ceva UK Animal Welfare Awards.
The number of hits on social media was dramatically increased by our swift response with many winners and sponsors very keen to share their success in the aftermath of receiving their award.
Good Call Media Co-owner, Nik Wood, who coordinated the interviews and editing said:”When better to encourage people to share their Tweets, Facebook posts and Linked In entries than when they arte basking in the success of winning an award.
“By working through the night we were able to offer links to the videos to the winners and sponsors within minutes of the interviews being recorded so this resulted in a big hike in hits compared to events when content is sometimes edited days and even weeks after it is recorded.”
Feedback from those involved was unanimously appreciative with many saying they were proud to be able to share their success with their friends and families but also colleagues and marketing teams to get maximum exposure.
The awards were hosted by TV presenter and animal lover, Matt Baker, and renowned retired veterinary surgeon, Chris Laurence MBE FRCVS, who puts his name to the Vet of the Year Award. They recognise the achievements of remarkable people from the farming, veterinary and charity industries, who go beyond the call of duty to better the lives of animals around the world including veterinary and charity professionals, researchers and volunteers.
Speaking at the ceremony, chair of the judging panel, Chris Laurence, said: ““The quality of nominations for this year’s awards surpassed any we’ve had before, and the people and organisations nominated are well deserved winners. It is especially pleasing to see people from different organisations coming together in the name of animal welfare to work together and to provide leadership. Not only do the winners deserve our thanks and praise but all those nominated should be really proud of what they do for the welfare of animals that can’t speak for themselves.”
