Filming On Prince Edward Island
The wild beauty of Prince Edward Island on Canada’s East Coast has been the backdrop for our latest international filming assignment.
This was the first stop in a contract that covers five different continents as we travel the world to meet the winners of the 2018 World Veterinary Association Animal Welfare Awards.
The island is home to a highly respected vet school and, although we can’t reveal the North American winner until after the Awards ceremony on May 4, it’s safe to say that this person has gone above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to building the profile of animal welfare.
Following the successful WVA Animal Welfare Award 2017, the World Veterinary Association and Ceva Sante Animale decided to launch the 2nd WVA Animal Welfare Award.
The aim of the WVA Animal Welfare Awards is to recognize and reward veterinarians who contribute to the protection and welfare of animals in their daily lives and provide outstanding and exemplary welfare-related services to animals, animal owners, fellow veterinarians, and the public.
The Global Animal Welfare Awards 2018 will be presented to one selected veterinarian from each of the six WVA regions (North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, North Africa/Middle East, and Asia/Oceania).
The WVA Animal Welfare Awards Ceremony will take place in Barcelona, Spain from May 5 to 8, 2018 during the 34th World Veterinary Congress, where the winners will be invited to receive a monetary prize of 5.000 Euros
